Great ways to Get Links Pointing to your Site
1. Write articles = this is time consuming, but is effective you write many articles and in the author resource box have the links back to your site. These articles are usually picked up from other sites and the author box is still in tact and your article is doing double duty. One of the best places to do this is ezine articles. These articles are picked up from other sites and you get great exposure to your sites. All your links are in place and will point back to your site.
2. Use Xombia to write little blurbs about your site. You get the links back to your site PLUS you get Adsense revenue for yourself. While this site doesn't pay you 100% of the profits, you will get profits from adsense as well as getting the links. These little blurs have to be at least 50 words, which is about 1 paragraph, just a brief description of your site and the link.
3. She Told Me website : This site is again writing little blurbs and you get 100% of adsense for each page that you write. If you refer people you make money off their adsense also. They also will pay for Chitka sites because they have links on the sites. She Told Me is a great way to make money while promoting your links. The Thing that I like most about She Told Me is that they give a screen shot of your website on each little blurb that you write. When you click on the title, it take the person right to your page.
4. Hubpages - Another great site to get back links and make money for yourself. Make EBay, Amazon and Adsense profits while gtting the links to your sites. You will have to write articles but unlike Ezine articles which don't pay you money this site will.
5. Squidoo - Make money again from many different resources. Even Clickbank. They won't pay you per click on Adsense or ebay but will instead send you a check when you reach payout.
Use these sites to get the backlinks and make money. You no longer are stuck writing longer articles to get the backlinks for no money. Promote your sites and earn while you do that.

How to Promote a Blog in Search Engines
Here Is a little step by step Instruction Suggestion on selecting a particular topic:-
Step 1
If you want to reach a more general audience, find out which subjects sell, write about topics relevant to people.: family (child care, parenting, home, budget, money/savings,) friends, work, church, personal life, feelings, thoughts, food, drink, occasions, and others. You can also begin by browsing topics on e-how so you will have an idea.
Step 2
Another strategy is to write topics people have not written yet! You can be creative to think of how to make your article really unique.
Step 3
A reminder is to have a great title (to catch attention), a persuasive motivator (to keep the audience reading, stating how reading your article will benefit the readers), and state your references/resources.
Step 4
Most importantly, write about what inspires you or what you find interesting. You can base it from your experience each day. Love what you’re doing (such as writing), then it will just come out naturally.
How to Promote your Blog :-
In this crazy world of information promoting your blog has become a nerve wrecking endeavor . We all know the various ways in which you can promote your blog but sometimes it just gets too crowded . Here is a way to tackle blog promotion with the use of comments .
Things You'll Need:
Browser with good bookmarking capabilities .
Step 1
Research and lecture ! Find the blogs in your niche , big or small , and make sure you get a list ready with them . Once you've done that just start browsing and reading . Get an opinion , get to know people.
Step 2
Create 3 folders in your browser bookmark manager . The folders should be in the lines of : New Ongoing Dead
Step 3
Start commenting . And bookmark the articles on which you comment . Place the ones that you just commented in 'New' . Place the ones that have already received answers in 'Dead' . And for the comments that sparked a discussion use 'Ongoing' . That's it . A simple technique to keep your comments clean with the use of bookmarks .
Tips & Warnings
1.Do not forget about comments . Make sure you keep them in check and place them in their proper category . Only the 'Dead' articles can be forgotten .
2.Besides this method you could simply create a junk email address and use it for all your commenting needs . Most blogs offer the possibility to subscribe via email to a certain article's comments .
3.And as always : don't spam . Don't comment just to get your link there . Comment only if you truly have something to add to the discussion .

4 Keys To Peak Performance
We cheer them on at sporting events. They lift our spirits and inspire us during good movies and theater performances. We open our hearts and minds to them when we hear their speeches.
There is no doubt about it, peak performers touch us in ways no one else can. Why is that? What is it that makes us cheer? Why do we instantly flood our bodies with emotions when they touch us?
Deep inside each of us we have the natural desire to perform at our peak. When we see someone perform at peak, internally we yearn to release our own greatness. It brings to surface our own hidden desires.
Being a top performer is something anyone can accomplish. The following four principles are triggers for releasing optimal results in anything we chose.
1) Step away from the crowd; Statistics prove only 3% in any given field reign as top performers. Whether you are talking business, sports, or the arts, most of the 97% are average at best. The rest linger on just doing enough to barely get by. Therefore the first step in becoming a peak performer is to separate ourselves from the crowd. Top performers know that mediocrity is the norm. Fear has become the dominating thought of these in the 97%. They fear looking bad. They fear failure. Many even fear success.
Peak performers distance themselves from this crowd. They courageously move beyond fear. No one ever wants to look bad, but peak performers never allow that fear to take hold of them. They negotiate risk intelligently. And although at times plans don’t work out as expected, they find something within the supposed failure to make the next attempt that much better.
Look at what the 97% of the people in your industry do, and then do the exact opposite. That is the first step to standing out within your field.
2) Do more than what is expected; Learn to consistently demand more from yourself than anyone could ever expect of you. Remember, most of the 97% are either sitting on mediocrity or just getting by. Expectations are low to begin with. You would be surprised to learn how little demanding more of yourself really is. It could be just 5 more sales calls. Or reading one more book this month. Or it could be even inspiring just one more person.
The difference between good and great isn’t huge. In fact, the difference is so small it’s a shame that most people never even try. But because of that, because people don’t do the little things that can move them from good to great, it leaves a void for us to easily fill. The “great” spots are wide open, waiting for us to jump right in.
Find what you need do to demand more of yourself. It doesn’t need to be a huge thing. However, doing the little things will get you noticed instantly. People will begin recognizing you as a peak performer the second you demand more of yourself than others expect.
3) Get a coach; Every peak performer, again whether we are talking business, sports or the arts, utilize the power of coaching. Coaching gives you an outside perspective you cannot attain on your own. Many times a coach will help you make minor adjustments that will instantly lead you to success.
Everyone needs a fresh perspective, an outside influence. The right coach will inspire, direct, compliment, and literately eliminate years of trial and error learning curves. A good coach is indispensable to peak performance.
4) Imagination; In studying peak performers, one thing is clear, they all make use of there imagination. In variably, people who stand out in their chosen field regularly take time to review, rehearse and literately perform mentally. They prepare their bodies by first preparing their mind’s.
During these mental rehearsals, peak performers focus on one thing and one thing only, a perfect performance. By consistent repetition, sometimes hundreds, or even thousands of times, they create a neuro-pathway in their brains. Their minds are tricked into familiarity. This allows their bodies to perform relaxed and smooth.
Take time daily to devote to your own imagination. Create a perfect scenario in your mind. See it as you would want it to be. Make it real for yourself. Use repetition and make it better each time. Then bring it to life with action.
Achieving peak performance is a science. You now know the peak performance formula. The ingredients are at your disposal. Set them in motion consistently and join the 3% crowd. By doing so you will be at the top of your game, and you will become an inspiration for others.

Starting a Home Business
Why has there never been a better time than right now to start a home business?
There Has Never Been a Better Time in History to Start an Online Home Business.
There are a bunch of great reasons to start a home business, but the three most relevent in these economic conditions are:
- With the unemployment rate rising weekly, and no sign of receding any time soon, millions of people will be looking for work. It will be quite some time before the job market is restored to any kind of normalcy, especially in areas like retail. More and more people will be looking online for opportunities, and those who get in now will be perfectly positioned to help them to establish work from home businesses.
- By leveraging the explosion in social networking sites, otherwise known as Web 2.0, virtually anyone has the ability to establish and grow a internet-based home business for a very modest investment. All the advantages of owning a small business are here, but the cost of entry is miniscule.
- With so many opportunities available, there may never be a better time to create multiple streams of income, and passive residual income - the key to long term success in a home business.
- No one knows how deep or long this recession / depression is going to last, and those positioning themselves as leaders in network marketing now will never have to worry about needing a job or depending on the economy or anything else to make a great living.
Jump in now, because the timing may never be more perfect.
When You Own a Home Business...
You can definitely be working more hours than you ever have in your life - and for a time it will feel like you're spinning your wheels. But, once you start seeing results, the fruition of all the work done and time put in,there will be a level of satisfaction that can't be measured. This is the essence of owning an internet-based home business.
Beyond the satisfaction is a freedom you've never known before:
- Financial freedom - The key is taking advantage of passive income, which is money coming in on a regular basis without a lot of effort required to maintain it, and multiple streams of income, which is simply having many different sources of revenue. There are many ways in a network marketing business to leverage your efforts to create this residual income, and once it is established it creates the ideal scenario where your business is working hard even when you aren't. This allows you a luxury few people can afford - time. The time to spend with your family, time to spend doing the things you love, and time to spend developing even more sources of income. Combine that with the tax advantages and low overhead, and you have the living definition of financial freedom.
- Freedom in your life - Want to take a few days off on the spur of a moment?
- The residual income you've established means your business is always working even when you are not. You need to take care of the kids, or want to play golf during the day? This kind of business has no "hours", other than those you set. You can work at night and take the days off. You can work all weekend if you choose. You can do it part time while you still have a regular 9-5. The level of freedom an internet-based home business affords is unparalleled. Between managing employees, controlling inventory, doing the bookkeeping, and marketing the business, it is a never ending process that offers little breathing room.
Your income is based solely on how hard and smart you work, especially in the beginning. But when and how much you choose to work is up to you.
Many people start home businesses while still holding 9-5 jobs, allowing them to build the business at their own pace, and prepare for the day they are able to say goodbye to the J.O.B. Having the home business, even part-time,enables you to benefit from the tax advantages a business owner enjoys.
Regardless of the path you have taken to get to this point, a work at home business will provide you with the opportunity to start abusiness from scratch without necessarily investing a lot of money.
Then build it at your own pace into whatever you want it to be.
The level o fcompensation depends completely on your efforts, and there is nobody to answer to but yourself (or your spouse if you're both involved!).
Go ahead. Try and find this kind of freedom anywhere else in the working world.

Famous High School Dropouts
The following list of famous high school dropouts isn't meant to encourage anyone to quit school. Certainly there are advantages to a good formal education. It does, however, show that a formal education isn't an absolute necessity for a successful life - nor for increasing one's brainpower. There are many ways to succeed, and many ways to educate yourself..
Richard Branson... Billionaire British businessman.
George Carlin... Comedian.
Jim Carrey... Comedian and actor.
Tom Cruise... Actor
George Eastman... Founder of the Kodak company.
Albert Einstein... Mathematician.
Michael J. Fox... Actor.
George Gershwin... Composer
Wright brothers... Inventors of the airplane.
Peter Jennings... News anchor and reporter.
Billy Joel... Singer.
Keanu Reeves... Actor.
Thomas Sowell... Economist, author and political commentator.
Quentin Tarantino... Movie director.
Dave Thomas... Founder of Wendy's restaurant chain.
Uma Thurman... Actress.
Randy Travis... Country music singer.
John Travolta... Actor, airline pilot.
Ansel Adams... Photographer, author.
Bryan Adams... Songwriter, singer.
Jack Albertson... Oscar-winning actor.
Peter Allen... Australian songwriter, composer, singer.
Dhirubhai Ambani... Billionaire Indian businessman.
There are at least 18 billionaires that dropped out of high school, as well as 10 Nobel prize winners, 8 U.S. presidents and dozens of best-selling authors. Even Mensa, the high-IQ group, has some high school dropouts among its ranks.
In recent years, it has become less common for dropouts to succeed in many areas (except perhaps business), because diplomas, degrees, and official papers have become more important to society. While it is good to encourage education, this over-valuing of formal documents may lead us to pay less attention to what intelligence and success really are. Certainly, looking at the list above, you can imagine there are many well-papered people in this world that are a rung or two below some high school dropouts in terms of true success and the use of their intelligence.

5 steps to fix your financial woes...
i. Knowledge
Find out everything you can about your own in/out cash flow. If more money is going out than coming in, you need to do something about it immediately.
ii. Have A Plan
Sometimes all it takes is to evaluate your spending habits. Say "no" flashy things and sleazy salesmen. Count every cost you incur for a month and you will eventually discover where you should cut your expenses.
iii. Self-discipline
Once you have a plan. STICK TO IT. Tell yourself that when your financial situation improves, your quality of life will follow suit. Once you're out of the quagmire of debt, everything looks better.
iv. Education
Learn, and not just about money but about yourself. Are you spending because you're depressed or fearful? Getting in touch with yourself will solve many of your financial problems.
v. Action
Once you learn, act on it. Remain vigilant until your goal is achieved - that is financial security or being debt free.

Cool Things to do with BING
After playing around with Bing, I felt that Bing is a bit more intelligent than Google. Though the search results are pretty much comparable, so much thought has been put into the presentation and navigation.
Besides the basic Search, Bing comes with some great features. Here are some cool stuffs worth trying out.
Will Bing Change the way you Search?
Snippets From within Search Results
When you hover over any search result, a small bar with a bubble appears. Hover over the bubble to get a preview of the landing page and links to relevant pages on the site.Hover over Search Results and Preview Results
Search Images Like never before
Bing image search is so intelligent that it can differentiate between a photograph and an illustration. The similar images link that pops up when you hover over any image brings you closely similar related images.
Track Celebrities with Bing xRank
Bing xRank is like Google Trends for Celebrities. Based on the queries from Bing users, the search engine will track popular people, and rank them. xRank is a one-stop info box about the person. News results, Image results, Video results are presented along with Biography, and other relevant links to digg more. Read more about xRank.
Watch Video Previews within Search Results
Search for a Video and watch previews of the videos from within the search results page by hovering over each video. For a video Zonker, Bing Video Search is gonna save a lot of time. Try it out.
Bing Webmaster Center – Submit your sitemap
Bing is definitely gonna catchup, all the optimizations we used to use for Google will now have to be done for Bing too. Start off early by submitting your site to Bing Webmaster Center.
Bing Sounds Promising…
So far, Bing looks like a Google killer. Anyway, after a series of setbacks with crappy Windows Vista and a bunch of useless software’s, Microsoft must be glad with their new product. Finally, persistence pays off!
Did you like Bing?

Best Business Opportunities of 2009
The best business opportunities of 2009 are basically the tried and true as troubled economic times cause consumers to be more cautious about what they buy and less optimistic about the economy in general. Small businesses selling necessities will do well; those selling what consumers consider to be "frills" will not, unless they can tap into sufficiently well-heeled niches.
And what do people consider to be necessary in lean times? See if any of these picks for the best business opportunities of 2009 surprise you.
1) Motivational speakers
What do people need more than anything else in tough times? Hope. That's what the best motivational speakers provide and that's why they’re going to be in demand in 2009. The most popular speaking topics will be those that speak to people's concerns and offer them possible solutions such as getting more out of less. People who have personally overcome adversity will also be popular speakers.
2) Fast food franchises
Fast food is such a integral part of many people's diets that they will continue purchasing it no matter what. Others who usually don't buy it will turn to fast food as a kind of comfort food in uncertain times. Old established fast food chains especially will profit from this kind of food nostalgia. Pick the right fast food franchise in the right place and this business opportunity could be a real money-maker.
3) Repair businesses
One obvious way that people save money is to make do rather than buying new, which makes businesses specializing in repairs excellent business opportunities. Auto repair and shoe repair are two examples of repair businesses . But they're certainly not the only possibilities. What about furniture refinishing, furniture reupholstering and sewing and mending?
4) Collection agencies
When times get tough, more people have a tough time paying what they owe. Businesses hire collection agencies to help them get the money that's owed them. If you don't have any experience in collection yourself, the best way to get in on this best business opportunity is to hire experienced collectors to work in your agency.5) Medical supplies
With our aging demographic, medical equipment and supplies are necessities for growing numbers of people, making providing medical supplies one of the best business opportunities around. Besides products that provide increased mobility such as scooters, wheelchairs, and walkers, bathroom safety products such as special toilet seats and bath lifts will be in increased demand.
6) Cleaning businessesRemember what I said about necessity. Good times or bad, things get dirty and need to be cleaned providing a good business opportunity for those willing and able to do the cleaning. Residential cleaning services may drop a bit depending on employment rates but the demand for commercial cleaning will continue to be steady as institutions and businesses just need to get it done.
7) Discount/surplus stores
Throughout 2009 consumers will be looking for bargains, making discount and surplus stores a natural business opportunity. Obviously I'm not the only one who thinks so as discount stores are springing up all over. The best way to get in on this business opportunity is by buying into a franchise.8) Sports equipment
Selling sports equipment will continue to be a good business opportunity. Sports devotees will continue to do what they love to do as long as they can and will continue to be willing to pay for the equipment they need to do it. So cycle, gameboards, Gym items and bikes will all continue to sell. There will, however, be increased interest in used sports equipment, an interesting business idea in itself.
9) Senior careOn the list last year, this makes the list of best business opportunities again this year because of ever-growing demand. Business opportunities in senior care range from opening your own senior care home through providing in-home care or home services such as preparing meals, housekeeping or running errands. Senior care franchises are another option for getting in on this business opportunity.
10) Chocolate
The lure of chocolate is irresistible at the best of times and in uncertain times, people will eat even more of it. And that's a lot of chocolate. While the market is dominated by the big manufacturers, there is still room for small businesses to specialize in producing premium gourmet chocolates. Of course, you'll need to find an experienced chocolatier to turn this business opportunity into a viable business - or become one yourself.
Why Are These the Best Business Opportunities?
Because these are business opportunities that have legs. Taking into account the economy, consumer and business trends, these are businesses that should be profitable not just for 2009, but for years to come.
But not every business opportunity is right for everyone. You always need to do your homework; writing a business plan is a good (and safe) way to find out if the small business opportunity you're considering is worth investing your time and money in.

Bing vs Google
Lots of speculation continues around who might be the right CEO for Bing, both on my original post here (I am honored by the readers who suggested it but, come on, guys, I am not the right person for the job), as well as across the 'sphere. Jiju has some interesting ideas here, including David Rosenblatt, former CEO of DoubleClick, now at Google (see my interview with him at CM Summit here), former Viacom chief Tom Freston, and Richard Rosenblatt .
I think all these are fine candidates, and Forbes called me today asking me for more. As I chatted with journalist Elizabeth Corcoran, some themes came out. It seems there might be three types of CEO candidates - leaders from "orthogonal" companies - not media or direct Internet, for example, but folks who grok the overall technology and business space. My candidate from here is Bruce Chizen, former CEO of Adobe, who has successfully competed with Microsoft and gets the B2C software/Internet as platform space (at left, and in conversation at Web 2 last year).
Another type of candidate might be folks from major ad platforms. David Rosenblatt falls in that category, but he's got a very big job at Google, and I'm not sure he'd want to go boil another ocean. But what about Brian McAndrews, who sold aQuantive to Microsoft? (Web 2 video).
A third type of candidate might be a visionary in the space of open platforms, where Jerry - rightfully I believe - has pushed Yahoo in the past year. It's harder to find easy candidates for this category, because most leaders in the world of "open" are more visionaries than operators. But it led to to wonder about folks who might be inside great companies like Dell, HP or IBM, leading huge divisions. After all, those companies have seen the impact of open - Linux in particular - and closed - Microsoft - and have learned lessons that could really guide a maturing Internet world.
That's when another name struck me - Vyomesh Joshi, EVP of HP's Imaging and Printing Group (at left and in conversation with me here). Widely seen inside HP as visionary, VJ (as he is known) is also an accomplished operator - he runs a $30 billion business, after all. But does he have knowledge of bing? Yep - he's on the Board.
Whoever ends up running Bing, I think, will not be someone to come in, fix it, and sell it. Why? Because honestly, besides Google, which has declared it's not interested, who else is a buyer of *anything* right now? And I may be showing some bias here, but I believe Bing is a great search engine that has lost its way, not an asset to be packaged and sold to the highest bidder in a low market. The right person can come in and prove that. I wish whoever it is good fortune.
